(#1) I Am A Lucky Pup

Hi, I’m Roxie. A dog. This is my story or, at least, a piece of it.

When the story started, I didn’t have much going for me. You see, I was abandoned on the side of a road. I am not sure why or by whom. I don’t remember much about my mother. I don’t know when I was born. That person who left me must have known someone would help me. And someone did. In fact, more than one human has blessed my life.

I ended up in a place where a lot of other dogs, like me and unlike me, were being cared for. The man examining me was not sure what I was.  He looked at my toes, my snout, and head. He. looked me up and down. I heard him say, before he put me in a cage, “This one is a lab mix. About fourteen weeks.”

Not sure what it meant.

I am a lucky pup. I have people who love me and care for me. Some call me “BDE”—Best Dog Ever.

I’m not sure about that. I’m just a dog. I like all other beings. I think I am “LDE”—Luckiest Dog Ever. Anyway, thank you for picking up my first blog and reading a little about my journey and life experiences.

I will post short stories in the weeks to come. All as I see life from my paws and through my eyes. I would love to hear from you. Let me know what you find of interest in my stories and what other topics you would like for me to woof about.

Contact me through this blog’s contact page (see “Contact Roxie” at top of page) or leave a message after each post (below). My person, Steve, will relay your message to me. I’m still not good typing. All paw pads and dewclaws, if you get the picture.

Before you leave today, would you consider signing up to receive notices about my blog and when I post? Simply click the “Follow” button (below). I appreciate you!

Woof!
