I’ve woofed before about returning to the big building where people come to go. Since my leg healed, Steve and I have been visiting there each week. Lots of really nice humans.
A few days ago, we returned to another familiar building–a really big one. Again, lots of humans with kind voices and eyes. And they gave me great belly rubs. Can you say heaven? Love it!

By time we got home I was a pooped pup. Visiting both big buildings within a few days tired me out. I thought I’d sleep for a while. You know, like a day or two.
But Steve surprised me the next day. For the first time in a long time (seemed like a dog year) he dropped me off at the Little Yellow Building–my favorite place! It was just for a few hours to see how I’d do running free with all the pup friends in the backyard.

I ran. I jumped. I stopped and pondered. I sniffed. I play bowed and ran some more. Then it was time for all of us pups to go into quiet time and rest.

When I got home later that day I was still full of energy. I think I was excited about my return visit. After my bath, I did take a short power nap in my downstairs puppy condo. Dreamed about all the fun I had this week. And all the nice humans and pups I got to be with each day.
And, I think, the best news is that I did not hurt anything! I was tired as I’m a bit out of shape having not run in along time. But I feel great! Like the sign over my downstairs condo, I am GRATEFUL.
I continue to be a lucky pup.

Thanks for coming back to my blog. You make me happier than biscuits!
My book, Roxie Looks for Purpose Beyond the Biscuit, is still available. I share stories and lessons about friends, family, and fun. And I speak about purpose as well. (Steve says for dogs we might just want to call it “furpose.” He makes words up, I think.) Perhaps the book holds a biscuit or two for you or for a friend!
WOOF!
Roxie, Jasper & I are so happy you are healing well and got to go play at your favorite playhouse.
